Job summary

Strategic Mission Critical in El Paso seeks a Senior Level Electrical Engineer to provide on-site oversight of large-scale data center construction projects. You will coordinate with trade partners, review RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings, and collaborate with the in-office design team to update drawings and support construction administration remotely where needed.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in electrical design for mission-critical facilities, excellent communication

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in facility electrical design, construction, and commissioning.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical or architectural engineering with an electrical focus; PE license preferred.
• Experience with large industrial/commercial buildings and mission-critical design.
• Experience with power studies (short circuit, coordination, arc flash) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee on-site execution of design work, coordinating with contractors, clients and design partners.
• Review RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings to ensure accuracy and timely responses.
• Lead level 4-5 commissioning activities as a representative of SMC and client.
• Mentor engineers, designers, and modelers to expand electrical field knowledge.
