Job summary

WSP seeks a Senior Technical Manager, Electrical Engineering to lead technical oversight across power generation, transmission, and distribution projects. You will mentor staff, guide design and permitting, and ensure high-quality engineering services for public and private clients.

Responsibilities include coordinating multi-site design reviews, applying high-level engineering techniques, and advancing future-ready electrical infrastructure initiatives while maintaining safety and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years of relevant post-education experience as an electrical engineer for capital projects in power generation, transmission, and distribution.
• Engineer license required (multi-state preferred).
• Highly proficient with electrical engineering principles, practices, design/build, and permitting.
• Experience with infrastructure planning, design, and program/construction management; interacting with electrical engineering, P&C, SCADA, and telecom.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight and leadership for complex electrical infrastructure design projects.
• Coordinate and approve electrical design plans for mid-level and complex projects.
• Develop construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates, ensuring safety and compliance.
• Lead project budgets, track hours and expenses, and supervise subcontractors and staff.
• Mentor staff to support growth and professional development.
• Maintain QA/QC and ensure compliance with industry standards.
