Hubbell Incorporated’s ACME division seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to design Dry-Type Transformers and related systems for data center applications, up to 1.6 MVA. You will drive new product designs, cost estimates, and ensure compliance with standards while collaborating with Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing and Sales teams.

You will document designs, create engineering drawings in SolidWorks, and generate BOMs in SAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with 10 years’ experience or equivalent related engineering experience.
• Experience in design of Power Distribution Unit (PDU) transformers for data center applications.
• Experience with Transformer Design software such as OPS, Ansoft or equivalents.
• UL/CSA, NEMA transformer standards knowledge preferred.
• Ability to read and create detailed technical wiring diagrams, schematics, and bill of materials.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products.

Responsabilités

• Design Dry-Type Transformers and Reactors for low and high power applications, 1VA – 1.6 MVA at low frequencies (< 400hz).
• Lead new product designs and cost estimates to maintain cost position.
• Document product design records following system guidelines.
• Provide technical assistance to Customers, Technical Sales, Customer Service, Quality Assurance and Manufacturing.
• Design to meet Agency/compliance requirements and internal quality standards and manufacturing practices.
• Develop and implement electrical testing methods to assure product quality.
• Coordinate prototyping with manufacturing and vendors as needed.
• Interface with manufacturing to resolve production issues and lead electrical design for new products.
• Travel to customer sites, meetings, conferences as needed.
• Create development and production drawings in SolidWorks.
• Create Bills of Material and Routings for products within SAP.
