Job summary

Critical Loop, Inc. is seeking a senior electrical design engineer to own the product electrical design from conception to production.

You will manage single-lines, BOMs, and change orders, and establish the design process that underpins it all. You will perform system studies (load flow, short circuit, arc flash), select components, and ensure compliance with NEC and UL standards while coordinating with mechanical and controls teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 5+ years of electrical design on power systems.
• Experience with switchgear and high‑power assemblies.
• Apply NEC and relevant standards to real designs, not just theory.
• Run load flow, short circuit, coordination, arc flash studies (ETAP/SKM).
• Proficient in industry-standard electrical CAD tools.
• Make build-vs-buy and cost-down decisions; own outcomes.
• Authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not provided.

Responsibilities

• Own the system-level electrical design of our products—from conception to prototype to production release.
• Own single-lines, component selection, BOMs, and ECOs.
• Author and manage product documentation and process behind it (requirements, design reviews, changes).
• Release and maintain electrical BOMs and single-line drawings under revision control.
• Run power system studies (load flow, short circuit, coordination, arc flash).
• Collaborate with mechanical, thermal, and controls leads to meet constraints.
• Decide what is built in-house vs. bought and drive cost-out without compromising compliance.
