Mesa Power Solutions is hiring a Senior Electrical Engineer to act as a core technical authority for industrial power generation and paralleling switchgear systems. You will own end-to-end electrical design integrity, protection coordination, and control architectures for high-reliability power systems deployed nationwide.

You will lead advanced system modeling, utility interconnection studies, and site-level SCADA integration while ensuring regulatory compliance and project leadership across

Qualifications

• 4 Year / Bachelors Degree in engineering from an accredited university.
• Graduate Degree in electrical and power engineering from an accredited university.
• 5 years of experience directly related to electrical and power engineering or Power PE.
• 8 years of experience in electrical engineering with a focus on utility-scale or industrial power systems.
• 3 years of previous work experience with regulated electric utilities, municipal power providers, or large industrial facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead advanced power system studies including short-circuit analysis, arc flash mitigation, load flow, and relay coordination.
• Design complex low- and medium-voltage power distribution systems and paralleling switchgear assemblies.
• Oversee development and integration of control architectures from generator control to site-level PLC logic.
• Coordinate grid-interconnection studies with utilities and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE, UL and other codes across equipment and site deployments.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and field personnel.
