Job summary

Critical Loop, Inc. in New York is seeking a Senior Power Electronics Engineer to lead hardware development from architecture through production release. You will own high‑voltage power converters, motor-drive electronics, FPGA‑based control, and mixed‑signal circuits.

Collaborate with engineering leadership and contract manufacturers to ensure robust designs, thorough validation, and manufacturability. This hands‑on role requires strong communication and a proactive problem‑solver mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 3–7 years of hardware/product development experience.
• Extensive power electronics design experience (DC-DC, motor drives, HV systems).
• Strong mixed-signal circuit development (analogue, ADCs, sensors).
• FPGA development with VHDL/Verilog including timing/validation.
• Proficient in Altium and engineering documentation (GD&T).
• Experience coordinating with contract manufacturers and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of complete electrical hardware development from architecture to production release.
• Define system architectures, power conversion, interfaces, protection, and signal processing.
• Design high‑voltage DC‑DC/DC‑AC, motor drives, and power management circuits.
• Develop FPGA‑based control and signal processing; ensure integration with embedded control.
• Create production‑ready schematics, BOMs, and PCBs with manufacturability in mind.
• Lead design reviews, failure analysis, and design‑for‑manufacturing activities.
• Perform hardware bring‑up, testing, validation, and environmental/regulatory tasks.
