Job summary
TIGA, a Tetra Tech Company, seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead complete electrical system design and integration for industrial projects in Lafayette, LA. You will develop construction packages, oversee multi-discipline coordination, and guide project teams through FAT and commissioning.
The role requires 10+ years in power systems design, PE licensure or path to licensure, and strong NEC/NEMA familiarity. Travel is required as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
- Active PE license or ability to obtain quickly; Louisiana/ Texas/ Oklahoma licensure preferred.
- Strong NEC/NEMA familiarity; international standards a plus.
- Experience drafting with AutoCAD and related CAD tools.
Responsibilities
- Lead design for complete electrical construction and integration.
- Produce plans, drawings, schedules, specifications per client needs.
- Perform calculations to ensure safe, cost-effective designs.
- Mentor project and system engineers; lead project teams.
- Coordinate with third-party disciplines on electrical design.
- Conduct site walks, FAT, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
- Ensure work complies with Standards & Procedures; report status to management.
- Collaborate with Project Managers and Technical Engineers; travel as needed.
