Job summary

Tata Consulting Engineers USA, LLC (TCE) is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer IV with 8+ years of industrial experience to join our Baton Rouge, LA team. The role expects in-office work Monday through Thursday, with potential remote work on Fridays.

Responsibilities include leading projects from initial concept through construction, specifying electrical equipment, performing calculations, reviewing documents, and ensuring NEC/NFPA compliance while coordinating with remote teams and on-site

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required.
• PE license preferred; ability and goal to obtain PE license if not owned.
• Industrial electrical, controls and instrumentation design/engineering experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from front end loading to detail design and construction, including procurement, cost, and schedule management.
• Specify Electrical Equipment (switchgear, MCCs, VFDs, lighting).
• Perform Electrical Calculations (load studies, voltage drop, motor starting analysis, conduit/cable tray sizing).
• Review design documents, prepare estimates, and develop Bid-Ready Construction packages.
• Understand and apply the National Electrical Code (NFPA 70) and NFPA 70E.
