Job summary

Tata Consulting Engineers USA, LLC (TCE) is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer IV with 8+ years of industrial experience to join our Baton Rouge, LA team. The role expects in-office work Monday through Thursday, with potential remote work on Fridays.

Responsibilities include leading projects from initial concept through construction, specifying electrical equipment, performing calculations, reviewing documents, and ensuring NEC/NFPA compliance while coordinating with remote teams and on-site

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required.
PE license preferred; ability and goal to obtain PE license if not owned.
Industrial electrical, controls and instrumentation design/engineering experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead projects from front end loading to detail design and construction, including procurement, cost, and schedule management.
Specify Electrical Equipment (switchgear, MCCs, VFDs, lighting).
Perform Electrical Calculations (load studies, voltage drop, motor starting analysis, conduit/cable tray sizing).
Review design documents, prepare estimates, and develop Bid-Ready Construction packages.
Understand and apply the National Electrical Code (NFPA 70) and NFPA 70E.
