Job summary

City Light & Power, Inc. (CLP Engineering) seeks an Electrical Engineering Supervisor to lead a team responsible for planning, design, construction, operations, and maintenance of electrical distribution systems for clients.

The role requires a BSEE, PE license, 8+ years in utilities, and strong leadership; expertise in substations, power systems, ETAP, and MS Project is essential for project deliverables and customer interface.

Qualifications

BSEE with emphasis in power systems preferred.
PE license required.
8+ years in the electric utility industry.
Proven leadership and ability to guide daily responsibilities.
Expert knowledge with medium voltage substations and distribution systems.
Experience with power system analysis using ETAP or similar software.
Experience drafting technical documents and drawings.
MS Project experience is a plus.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Design sub-transmission, substations, switching stations, and complex power distribution systems.
Oversee an Engineering Team for specs, calculations, and drawings.
Serve as Technical Engineer for project deliverables and compliance.
Develop design alternatives, calculations, and cost estimates.
Support project execution as Owners Engineer and provide RFIs responses.
Interface with customers and manage project schedules and costs.
