Job summary

CesiumAstro, Inc. is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the C&DH subsystem development for our Element Satellite team.

You will own the C&DH block diagram, perform subsystem analyses, and coordinate with electrical architects and vendor teams to deliver flight‑readiness hardware. You will join a small, dynamic team to push the boundaries of spacecraft design, working with software, mechanical, and AI&T groups to ensure successful satellite missions and on‑orbit reliability.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 5 years of industry experience in spacecraft electrical system design, analysis, manufacturing, test, and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of electronics and electrical engineering fundamentals.
• Experience with spacecraft electrical system subsystems including processors, digital I/O, timing signals, power rails, and grounding.
• Hands‑on experience with lab instruments to debug, test, and validate high‑reliability electronics.
• Exposure to space electronics supply chain, production issues, test processes, and flight operations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain C&DH subsystem architecture and interfaces.
• Perform technical definition, implementation, and verification of satellite avionics systems.
• Conduct make/buy trades and trade studies for buy items.
• Collaborate with satellite systems, mechanical, software, and AI&T teams.
• Design and execute test plans for design verification, qualification, and acceptance testing.
• Deliver technical communications to leadership and executives.
• Deliver reliable, performant space avionics system for spaceflight missions.
