Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to own the C&DH subsystem for our Element Satellite team. You will design, analyze, and deliver the C&DH architecture, lead make/buy trades, and work with cross‑functional teams to enable rapid satellite delivery.

You will oversee subsystem verification, hardware delivery, and on‑orbit support, collaborating with software, mechanical, and AI&T teams. A BS in engineering and 5+ years of space electronics experience are required, with a $10,000

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 5 years of spacecraft electrical system design and testing experience.
• Experience with satellite electrical system concepts and flight operations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical definition, implementation, and verification of satellite avionics systems.
• Define and maintain C&DH subsystem architecture and interfaces.
• Conduct make/buy trades and trade studies for components and subsystems.
• Represent C&DH by interfacing with satellite systems, mechanical, software, and AI&T teams.
• Collaborate on in-house solutions to optimize satellite performance and manufacturability.
• Make decisions with limited data to drive hardware development.
• Design and execute test plans for design verification, qualification, and acceptance testing.
• Prepare technical communications for leadership and executives.
• Deliver reliable, high-performance space avionics for flight missions.
