Job summary

Standard Bots in Boston is seeking two Senior Electrical Engineers to join the Bolt project. You will own PCBAs, electrical subsystems and safety architecture for an autonomous mobile base with robot arms, taking designs from concept to production.

One role focuses on safety features including safety controller, dual-channel I/O, STO, safety scanners, encoders and ISO certification evidence; the other focuses on upper/lower integration, harnesses, connectors, and bus topology.

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing, building, and testing PCBAs and electrical systems through production release.
• Deep expertise in digital, analog, sensing, power sequencing and EMC.
• Experience with ISO 13849 / IEC 62061 / IEC 61508 safety architectures or system integration.
• Ability to design and document clear trade studies and participate in design reviews.

Responsibilities

• Own the design and validation of PCBAs and electrical subsystems from concept through production release.
• Design safety architecture and produce evidence for ISO certifications.
• Own system electrical architecture and bring up integrated prototypes.
• Do hands-on schematic capture, PCB layout, bring-up, test plans, root-cause debugging.
• Lead design reviews and mentor engineers.
