Job summary

Standard Bots is building Bolt, an autonomous mobile base with robot arms. We seek a Senior Staff Electrical Engineer to lead hardware architecture, prototype builds, and safety certification through ISO 3691-4, ANSI/RIA R15.08, and UL 3100. You will own the battery pack, BMS, and high-current power delivery.

You will mentor a team of mechanical and electrical engineers, collaborate across software, safety, and manufacturing, and ensure compliant, manufacturable designs that ship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or graduate degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years designing, building, and testing power systems and PCBA.
• Led hardware for AMR/robot through production and certification.
• Experience with ISO 3691-4, ANSI/RIA R15.08, UL 3100 certifications.
• WM knowledge of IEC 62133/UL 2271 and EMC pre-compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Bolt hardware team: define electrical and mechanical architectures and drive prototype tests.
• Own safety certification program and evidence packages, including test-lab campaigns.
• Hands-on design work: schematic capture, high-current PCB layout, bench testing.
• Mentor engineers and manage vendor relationships for batteries, chargers, and PCBA.
