Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in the United States (NJ/NY area) to design electrical power and lighting systems for transportation projects. You will evaluate, specify, and ensure compliance with codes and internal standards, while performing calculations and site work.

Responsibilities include leading lighting/electrical efforts, coordinating with clients and authorities, and delivering complete project packages. Requires PE license and 8+ years in the field.

Qualifications

• Design experience in lighting design and energy code compliance.
• Experience with lighting/power circuiting design and renewable energy systems.
• Familiarity with transportation projects and ITS concepts.
• Thorough knowledge of code compliance and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Attend meetings with clients, authorities having jurisdiction, and utility companies to coordinate projects.
• Prepare complete deliverables and documents including calculations, drawings, and specifications with minor supervisor.
• Examine field conditions to support development and completion of projects.
• Handle multiple complex assignments simultaneously.
• Manage or take on the technical lead role for lighting and electrical projects.
