Job summary

LVI Associates is seeking a lead electrical engineer to drive design and analysis for utility, substation, and data center projects. The role involves delivering power system studies and developing single-line diagrams in a remote US-capable setting.

You will perform short circuit, arc flash, and load flow analyses, design distribution systems, and prepare client-ready reports. Strong client communication, PE license, 5+ years of experience, and proficiency with SKM/ETAP are required.

Qualifications

• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 5+ years of electrical engineering experience in power systems, utilities, substations, or data centers.
• Proficiency with SKM PowerTools and/or ETAP.
• Familiarity with NEC, NESC, IEEE standards.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering and design efforts for utility, substation, and data center projects.
• Perform power system studies including: Short circuit analysis, Arc flash analysis, Load flow studies.
• Develop and review single-line diagrams, electrical calculations, and technical specifications.
• Design and analyze medium-voltage and low-voltage power distribution systems.
• Prepare engineering reports and study documentation for clients.
• Collaborate with clients, project managers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Participate in design reviews, troubleshooting efforts, and project execution activities.
