Job summary

AECOM is seeking a senior Electrical Engineer to join the Greenville, SC team with projects across the U.S. The role can be worked remotely, collaborating with site civil designers to coordinate layouts, service entrances and interconnections for telecom and fiber facilities.

The position requires a BS in Electrical Engineering with at least six years of design experience, familiarity with Revit/AutoCAD, and the ability to manage multiple projects while traveling occasionally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required with six years of professional electrical engineering design experience or equivalent
• Experience with Revit and/or AutoCAD for building design is required
• U.S. Citizenship required due to the nature of the role
• Valid US driver's license required
• Motor Vehicle Records review may be required as a condition of employment

Responsibilities

• Developing three-phase power distribution designs
• Coordinating electrical service requirements with utility providers
• Preparing construction drawings and technical specifications
• Ensuring compliance with applicable electrical codes and standards
• Serving as a senior technical resource and advisor for the team
• Providing specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's area of expertise
• Developing study and design procedures to facilitate cost-effective work
• Participating in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables
• Developing construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts
• Using expertise in PS&E package steps
• Performing quality control review of design calculations or drawings
• Providing input to the engineering budget and schedule
• Travel to sites or office as needed (~5%)
