Qualifications

• BA/BS in Electrical Engineering and 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency.
• Demonstrated experience in design and integration of utility-scale renewable and battery storage systems.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the electrical engineering design work on assigned projects under the guidance of senior staff.
• Work with Project Engineer and Project Manager on developing design schedules and budgets for electrical engineering work activities.
• Solar PV and BESS system design including array layouts, DC string sizing, equipment layouts, and utility interconnections for rooftop, carport, and ground mount (fixed tilt and single-axis tracking) systems.
• Solar PV and BESS system energy production modelling
• Developing construction and equipment specifications
• Engineering calculations (NEC maximum system voltage, conductor sizing, overcurrent protection sizing, utility disconnect requirements, voltage drop, and conduit sizing)
• Engineering development and support of construction drawing developments – one lines, network diagrams, etc.
• PV and BESS system cost estimation and payback evaluations
• DC and low to medium voltage power distribution design
• Supporting projects through complete life cycle including the feasibility phase, preliminary and detailed design, issue-for-bid, construction, start-up, and commissioning
• Participating in and presenting at meetings including those requiring occasional travel
