Job summary

Apex Engineering Group, Inc. in Fargo, ND is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead multi-disciplinary projects from planning through construction. The role requires independent and collaborative design work, client liaison, and field representation as needed.

The candidate should have a B.S./M.S. in Electrical Engineering, a PE license (ND/MN preferred or obtainable within 6 months), and 10+ years of electrical project experience in commercial, healthcare, and educational facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer Registration (ND or MN preferred) or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 10+ years of experience as an electrical project engineer preferred.
• Experience with electrical systems in commercial, health care, and educational facilities.
• Experience with civil electrical and water/wastewater electrical engineering a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional electrical engineering services for internal project managers and external clients, including planning, design, specifications, plans, reports, construction observation and project management.
• Communicate updates and progress to project managers during all project phases (planning, 30%, 60%, 90%, 100%).
• Attend company, project, and client meetings as directed by supervisor.
• Delegate and supervise project tasks to CADD/BIM Technicians, Graduate Engineers, and Field Technicians.
• Understand and follow CADD/BIM procedures and safety policies.
• Work independently and in a team environment; travel may be required.
