Job summary

Pfizer is seeking an Electrical Engineer to oversee maintenance and reliability engineering for utility and building systems within a hybrid work setting. You will design and optimize electrical infrastructure, collaborate with contractors and engineers, and lead projects from planning through completion.

The role emphasizes developing robust electrical designs, performing calculations, and ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with 4+ years of experience OR advanced degrees with corresponding experience.
• Experience in Electrical, Plant Utility systems design and layout for electrical, standby, emergency and UPS power systems.
• Experience with underground electric distribution and medium-voltage substations.
• Experience in master planning, design, installation, and operation of central utility systems.
• Knowledge of NFPA70E, NEC, NEMA, IEEE, UL, LEED, etc.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and reliability engineering activities for utilities, buildings and equipment.
• Provide technical oversight for project execution plans and engineering studies supporting equipment installation, modification and replacement.
• Develop detailed engineering designs for capital investments and electrical infrastructure expansion.
• Review electrical construction specs and design packages for new construction and renovations.
• Lead or co-lead projects and manage execution from planning through completion.
• Provide cross-functional leadership in project management, prioritization, forecasting and resources.
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and maintenance effectiveness.
• Support RCFA investigations and update reliability plans.
