Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a Senior Power Systems Engineer to design, implement and maintain electrical infrastructure within a manufacturing facility, ensuring safe, reliable operation and regulatory compliance.

The role includes managing power distribution, coordinating cross‑functional projects, performing energy audits, and leading preventive maintenance programs while following NEC, NFPA 70E, and hazardous‑area requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3–7 years in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
• PE license preferred; knowledge of OSHA, NFPA 70E, arc flash standards a plus.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, PLC programming, SCADA systems.
• Familiarity with 15kV–120/208V distribution equipment (switchgear, switchboards, relays, panels, VFDs).
• Experience with ETAP or similar power system analysis software.

Responsibilities

• Manage design and maintenance of electrical systems across the facility.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues in machinery and plant infrastructure.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for electrical equipment.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA 70E, and hazardous-area requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams on projects.
• Oversee electrical projects from concept to commissioning; manage budgets and schedules.
• Conduct energy audits and recommend saving initiatives.
• Maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and maintenance logs.
