The incumbent will mentor junior engineers, conduct design reviews with utilities and EPCs, and ensure adherence to IEEE, ANSI, and IEC

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of power transformer electrical design experience.
• Strong knowledge of transformer design principles and electrical calculations.
• Experience conducting design reviews with U.S. utilities/ EPCs.
• Familiarity with IEEE C57, ANSI, IEC standards; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design and technical reviews of power transformers.
• Perform transformer design calculations, impedance, losses, thermal and insulation coordination.
• Use design software to develop and optimize transformer designs.
• Participate in design reviews with customers and utilities; provide technical presentations.
• Support FATs, RCA, engineering changes, and field investigations.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
• Ensure compliance with customer requirements and standards.
