Job summary

EnerSys Advanced Systems is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical/Electronics Engineer to design, develop, and validate advanced PCBA for power electronics and hybrid systems. The role requires hands‑on work from concept through production with strong Altium Designer skills.

You will collaborate with firmware, mechanical, and systems teams to deliver fully integrated solutions while meeting EMC/DFM standards and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of professional experience designing and testing PCBAs for power electronics.
• 5+ years of experience with Altium Designer for schematic capture and multi‑layer layouts.
• Strong knowledge of power electronics, including switching converters, motor drives, battery management, and hybrid energy systems.
• Experience with design for manufacturability (DFM) and fabrication/assembly processes.
• Familiarity with IPC, UL, CE standards and testing best practices.
• Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of PCBAs for power electronics, motor drives, and hybrid energy systems.
• Use Altium Designer for schematic capture, multi‑layer layout, and manufacturing documentation.
• Conduct design simulations and analyses (SPICE, thermal, SI/PI) to ensure integrity.
• Optimize designs for thermal management and EMC/EMI and manufacturability (DFM).
• Prototype bring‑up, testing, validation, and troubleshooting of hardware.
• Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, and systems teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Create clear documentation for designs, test procedures, and certifications.
