Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for our Advanced Drilling and Driving team. You will own development from concept through qualification and integration of next‑generation power tools.

Responsibilities include prototyping, testing, and collaboration with marketing, platform engineering, and contract manufacturers to meet aggressive timelines. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field.
• 5+ years of experience in related design field.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a hands-on attitude.
• Knowledge of power electronics, motors, and motor control systems.
• Experience with embedded systems, debugging microcontrollers, and programming best practices.
• Strong knowledge of circuit simulation, schematic capture, PCBA layouts, and PCBA manufacturing.
• Experience in working with cross-functional teams to create new designs.
• Prior experience with development of end-use commercial products and knowledge of taking an item from concept to production.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel and Power Point.
• Ability to travel 10% of the time (travel includes Domestic and International).

Responsibilities

• Identify technology gaps to product development; evaluate new technologies and requirements for new electronic systems.
• Design and build initial prototypes and concept models of electronics systems with manufacturability in mind.
• Develop test plans, perform simulations, conduct experiments, and determine feasibility through data.
• Use laboratory equipment typical in electronics development environments.
• Provide hands-on assistance with product development from concept to production.
• Present information to cross-functional audiences.
• Develop familiarity with Milwaukee’s development and manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with engineers across Milwaukee Tool and global manufacturing teams.
• Track design and testing workflows to align with project schedules and development processes.
• Guide product development teams with integration and validation as concepts evolve.
• Troubleshoot, perform root cause analysis, and propose feasible solutions on projects.
