Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for the Advanced Drilling and Driving team in a full-time on-site role. You will drive design from concept to production, partnering with marketing, platform engineering, and contract manufacturers to deliver next‑gen power tools.

Responsibilities include prototype work, test planning, simulations, and root-cause analysis while maintaining schedules and development processes across Milwaukee Tool’s global teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field.
• 5+ years of experience in related design field.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a hands‑on attitude.
• Knowledge of power electronics, motors, and motor control systems.
• Experience with embedded systems, debugging microcontrollers, and programing best practices.
• Strong knowledge of circuit simulation, schematic capture, PCBA layouts, and PCBA manufacturing.
• Experience in working with cross‑functional teams to create new designs.
• Prior experience with development of end use commercial products and taking an item from concept to production.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel and Power Point.
• Ability to potentially travel 10% of the time (Domestic and International).

Responsibilities

• Work with cross‑functional team to identify technology gaps to product development.
• Evaluate new technologies, determine features, functions, and requirements for new electronic systems.
• Design and build initial prototypes and concept models of electronics systems.
• Develop test plans, perform simulations, conduct experiments, and determine feasibility and effectiveness of solutions.
• Provide hands‑on assistance with product development from initial concept to production.
• Present information to cross‑functional audiences.
• Develop and maintain familiarity with Milwaukee's development and manufacturing processes.
• Track design and testing workflows to ensure alignment with project schedules.
• As solutions move from concept to development guide product teams with integration and validation.
• Troubleshoot, perform Root Cause Analysis, and propose feasible solutions in high urgency contexts.
