Job summary

PRIME AE Group is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer I (PE level) to join the MEP team. You will lead electrical system design for diverse building types, collaborating with architects, engineers, and contractors to meet codes and project requirements.

You’ll mentor junior staff, contribute technically on high-impact projects, and work across markets such as healthcare, federal, education, and commercial. ABET-accredited degree and PE license are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 8+ years of experience in electrical system design.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in good standing in the posting state.
• Experience designing electrical systems including power distribution, lighting and lighting controls, grounding and bonding, fire alarm systems, and low-voltage systems such as telecommunications, paging, and nurse call.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical system design from concept through final construction documents.
• Perform electrical analyses and calculations to support design and performance.
• Develop innovative solutions to complex design challenges across multiple project types.
• Coordinate with architects, mechanical and structural engineers, and contractors for integrated delivery.
• Review and apply local, state, and federal codes and standards for electrical design.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
