Job summary

PRIME AE Group is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer I (PE Level) to join our MEP team across multiple offices. You will lead complex electrical system design for diverse building types, collaborating with architects, engineers, and contractors to meet project requirements and codes.

You will mentor junior engineers, drive design quality, and contribute to projects from concept through construction, including healthcare, federal, education, and commercial sectors.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in electrical system design.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in good standing (or ability to obtain).
• Experience with electrical systems including power distribution, lighting and controls, grounding/bonding, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical system design from concept through construction documents.
• Perform analyses and calculations to support design.
• Coordinate with architects, mechanical/structural engineers, and contractors.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers and designers in MEP.
• Participate in design reviews and construction-phase services.
