Job summary

PRIME AE Group is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer I (PE Level) to lead electrical system design across diverse building types. You will collaborate with architects, contractors, and field staff to ensure designs meet project requirements and codes.

Join a growing MEP team in Ohio and contribute technical leadership while mentoring junior engineers through concept to construction. Strong communicator with PE is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required; PE preferred or ability to obtain.
• 8+ years of electrical system design experience.
• Active PE license in the state or eligibility to obtain.
• Experience designing power distribution, lighting, grounding, and low‑voltage systems.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit; familiarity with SKM and Visual software.
• Healthcare or federal project experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of codes, standards, and electrical design practices.
• Excellent communication and project-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design from concept through construction documentation.
• Perform analyses and calculations to support design and performance.
• Develop innovative solutions across multiple project types.
• Coordinate with architects, mechanical/structural engineers, and contractors.
• Review applicable codes and standards for compliance.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers and designers in MEP.
• Participate in design reviews and construction-phase services as needed.
