Job summary

PRIME AE Group seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer I (PE) to join our growing MEP team across Florida and other offices. You will lead electrical system design for diverse building types, collaborating with architects, other engineers, and contractors to meet project requirements and codes.

Ideal candidates have ABET-accredited degree, 8+ years of experience, and an active PE license (or ability to obtain). Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SKM, and Visual is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• 8+ years of experience in electrical system design.
• Active PE license in good standing (or ability to obtain).
• Experience with power distribution, lighting, grounding, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit; knowledge of SKM and Visual.
• Experience with healthcare or federal projects preferred.
• Strong knowledge of building codes and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical system design from concept to construction documents.
• Perform analyses and calculations to support design.
• Coordinate with architects, MEPs and contractors.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers.
• Ensure designs meet codes and project requirements.
• Support design reviews and construction-phase services.
