Job summary

PRIME AE Group seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer I (PE) to join our growing MEP team in Kentucky and surrounding states. You will lead electrical system design for a diverse portfolio of building types and coordinate with architects, engineers, and field personnel from concept through construction.

You will mentor junior engineers, ensure compliance with codes and standards, and apply skills in power distribution, lighting, grounding, and low-voltage systems on healthcare, federal, and other

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 8+ years of electrical system design experience.
• Active PE license in the base state or ability to obtain.
• Experience with power distribution, lighting and lighting controls, grounding and bonding, fire alarm systems, and low-voltage systems.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit.
• Healthcare or federal project experience preferred but not required.
• Strong knowledge of building codes and electrical design practices.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of electrical systems from concept through final construction documents.
• Coordinate with architects, mechanical and structural engineers, and contractors to ensure integrated project delivery.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and designers in the MEP department.
• Participate in design reviews and support construction-phase services as needed.
