Job summary

Garg Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer (P.E.) to lead electrical design for multi-million-dollar transportation and infrastructure projects in the Northeast.

This on-site, full-time role is based in Rocky Hill, CT or Woodbridge, NJ and offers a generous compensation package with a signing bonus and benefits. Ideal candidates will have a PE license, 10+ years of experience, and strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IEEE codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) License – Required.
• 10+ years of electrical design experience.
• Strong experience in power distribution systems, substations & switchgear, traction power systems, grounding, lighting & low-voltage systems.
• Expert knowledge of NEC, NESC, NFPA, IEEE & UL codes.
• Software experience: AutoCAD, Revit, OpenBuildingDesigner, OpenRoadDesigner.

Responsibilities

• Perform traction power & electrical system design.
• Prepare electrical scopes of work & cost proposals.
• Develop drawings, schematics, layouts & specifications.
• Perform system calculations, modeling & analysis.
• Select electrical equipment & coordinate with manufacturers.
• Prepare construction cost estimates & schedules.
• Support construction including review of submittals & RFIs.
• Attend site visits during design & construction phase.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers.
• Present technical solutions to clients & leadership.
