Job summary

Garg Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support design efforts for transportation and transit projects, focusing on lighting and facility power systems. This on-site role is based in Woodbridge, NJ and offers growth opportunities through full project lifecycles from concept through construction.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of electrical design experience, an E.I.T. certification, and strong knowledge of NEC, NESC, NFPA, IEEE and UL codes, plus proficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Engineer-In-Training (E.I.T.) certification.
• 5+ years of electrical design experience (5-8 years ideal).
• Strong experience in: Power distribution systems, Substations & switchgear, Facility power systems, Grounding, lighting & low-voltage systems.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, NESC, NFPA, IEEE & UL codes.
• Software experience: AutoCAD, Revit, OpenBuildingDesigner, OpenRoadDesigner.

Responsibilities

• Perform facility power, lighting, and electrical system design
• Prepare electrical scopes of work & cost proposals
• Develop drawings, schematics, layouts & specifications
• Perform system calculations, modeling & analysis
• Support construction including review of submittals & RFIs
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies
• Mentor junior engineers and present technical solutions to clients & leadership
