Job summary

Garg Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support lighting design and facility power for large transportation and infrastructure projects in the Northeast. The role involves design, analysis, and coordination across multi-million-dollar programs from concept to construction.

The ideal candidate has an ABET-accredited electrical engineering background, is E.I.T. certified, and has 5+ years of electrical design experience with power distribution and lighting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Engineer-In-Training (E.I.T.) certification.
• 5+ years of electrical design experience (5-8 years ideal).
• Strong experience in: Power distribution systems; Substations & switchgear; Facility power systems; Grounding, lighting & low-voltage systems.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, NESC, NFPA, IEEE & UL codes.
• Software experience: AutoCAD, Revit, OpenBuildingDesigner, OpenRoadDesigner.

Responsibilities

• Perform facility power, lighting, and electrical system design.
• Prepare electrical scopes of work & cost proposals.
• Develop drawings, schematics, layouts & specifications.
• Perform system calculations, modeling & analysis.
• Support construction including review of submittals & RFIs.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies.
• Mentor junior engineers and present technical solutions to clients & leadership.

Position Overview

The Electrical Engineer will support electrical engineering design, quality control, and project execution for multi-million-dollar transportation and infrastructure projects, with a focus on facility electrical systems, lighting design, and facility power. This role includes full project lifecycle involvement - from concept design through construction support - and offers strong growth and leadership opportunities.
