Job summary
PD Power Systems LLC is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer/Designer responsible for designing electrical and control systems for electrical power generation and distribution systems and equipment. The candidate will work closely with Mechanical Designers and Engineers in integrating controls into the electrical systems.
The role requires familiarity with PLCs, generator digital controls, HMIs, and experience with 2D CAD (AutoCAD) and 3D CAD is desirable.
Qualifications
- Education: 4-year Electrical Engineering degree with 10+ years of hands-on experience OR
- Education: 2-year technical college degree/military experience with 15+ years of electrical and controls design/drawing experience.
- Experience designing electrical control systems and power generation and distribution systems.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, edit and maintain electrical schematics, panel diagrams, cable assemblies, and wiring drawings using AutoCAD software.
- Create, maintain and troubleshoot PLC systems.
- Be able to source components based upon customer requirements and specifications.
- Confer with engineering team and suppliers/vendors to develop the product.
