Job summary

Middough is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to design and review industrial power systems (120V-15kV) and PLC control schemes. The role involves data collection, detailed calculations, and producing drawing packages and specifications in alignment with NEC and standards.

The successful candidate will have 10+ years in electrical engineering, a power systems focus, and strong communication skills. PE license is preferred, and a hybrid work model is offered with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required with a focus in power systems.
• 10+ years of electrical engineering experience.
• PE license preferred.
• Proficient with NEC and applicable standards.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering design and calculations for industrial power systems (short circuit, voltage drop, cable sizing, arc flash, lighting, heat tracing).
• Create detailed electrical drawings: one-line diagrams, BOMs, panel schedules, lighting plans, motor schematics, conduit/cable plans, field wiring diagrams.
• Prepare specifications for transformers, switchgear, MCCs, etc.
• Complete designs using NEC and other applicable standards.
• Provide direction to electrical designers and assist in field work and problem solving.
