Job summary

PD Power Systems LLC is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer/Designer to design electrical and control systems for power generation and distribution. The role interfaces with Mechanical Designers to integrate controls into electrical systems and requires familiarity with 120/208V through 15kV, 2D CAD, PLCs, and HMIs.

Travel up to 20% may be required. The candidate should have a 4-year Electrical Engineering degree with 10+ years of hands-on experience, or a 2-year technical degree with 15+ years

Qualifications

• 4-year Electrical Engineering degree with 10+ years hands-on experience. OR
• Education: 2-year technical college degree/military experience with 15+ years of electrical and controls design/drawing experience.
• Experience designing electrical control systems, power generation and distribution.
• Experience with PLCs, generator controls, and HMIs.
• SolidWorks and 2D CAD used for schematics, wiring diagrams, and routing layouts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, edit and maintain electrical schematics, panel diagrams, cable assemblies, and wiring drawings using AutoCAD.
• Create, maintain and troubleshoot PLC systems.
• Source components based on customer requirements and specifications.
• Collaborate with engineering team and suppliers to develop the product.
