Job summary

PD Power Systems LLC seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer/Designer to design electrical and control systems for power generation and distribution. You will integrate controls with mechanical designs and troubleshoot PLCs and HMIs using AutoCAD 2D and SolidWorks.

Candidates must have a 4-year Electrical Engineering degree with 10+ years, or a 2-year degree with 15+ years, and be eligible for U.S. security clearance. Onsite in Springfield, VA; Tampa, FL; Seven Valleys, PA, with travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

• Education: 4-year Electrical Engineering degree with 10+ years of hands-on experience.
• Education: 2-year technical college degree or military experience with 15+ years in electrical and controls design.
• Experience designing electrical control systems and power generation/distribution systems.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and SolidWorks for schematics and routing layouts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, edit and maintain electrical schematics, panel diagrams, cable assemblies, and wiring drawings using AutoCAD.
• Create, maintain and troubleshoot PLC systems.
• Source components based on customer requirements and specifications.
• Confer with engineering team and suppliers/vendors to develop the product.

Education

4-year Electrical Engineering degree with 10+ years hands-on experience

2-year technical college degree/military experience with 15+ years electrical and controls design/drawing experience
