Job summary

EDG Inc. is seeking a Sr. Electrical Engineer to develop and implement all electrical design requirements for offshore and onshore projects.

You will be familiar with power generation, distribution, protection, and related control systems, aligning with client specifications and applicable codes. You will lead a design team, prepare equipment specifications and datasheets, perform ETAP/SKM calculations, create construction drawings, and support procurement, testing, commissioning and startup.

Qualifications

BS or MS in Electrical Engineering (preferred)
5–10 years in electrical power systems for offshore/onshore oil & gas
Experience leading multi-disciplinary project teams
Experience with vendor specs and cost estimates
Knowledge of industry codes: ANSI/NEMA/NFPA/API/UL/IEEE; IEC

Responsibilities

Lead design of electrical power generation, distribution, protection and control systems for offshore and onshore projects
Prepare and review equipment specifications and datasheets
Prepare calculations using ETAP or SKM
Prepare drawings for electrical buildings, layouts, wiring, and installation
Review client specifications and provide alternatives
Support procurement, testing, commissioning and startup activities
Travel internationally and domestically as required
