Job summary

SOCOTEC in the United States is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead project teams, interface with clients, and mentor staff, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery with high quality across power plant and building systems. The role involves design and analysis of equipment, instrumentation test loops, data acquisition, material evaluations, and writing technical reports.

Candidates should hold a Bachelor's in EE, 8+ years experience, EIT, and be able to obtain security clearances;

Qualifications

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• 8+ years’ experience.
• Possess EIT certification. Licensed professional engineer preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills, with efficient use of Microsoft products.
• Ability to pass background and drug screenings to obtain security clearances at a commercial nuclear plant.
• Ability to travel to customer or project sites, which may include weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with high quality.
• Interface with clients to meet project goals and deadlines.
• Mentor team members in project execution.
• Design and analyze equipment and systems in power plants and buildings.
• Design instrument test loops to evaluate failure causes.
• Instrumentation, data acquisition and analysis of equipment and structures.
• Evaluate materials and components for application suitability.
• Write technical reports without supervision.
