Job summary

Thomas Young Group in Denver seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design of electrical power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low voltage systems for complex infrastructure and mission-critical projects.

You will collaborate with architects and other engineers, prepare construction documents in AutoCAD and Revit, ensure NEC and California Title 24 Part 6 compliance, and support permitting, bidding, and construction administration throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5–7 years of electrical design experience, preferably with complex infrastructure.
• Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Strong knowledge of NEC and California Title 24 Part 6.
• Excellent communication, organization, and coordination skills.
• EIT certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of electrical power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low voltage systems.
• Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver coordinated, code-compliant designs.
• Prepare construction documents and specifications using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, California Title 24 Part 6, and related codes.
• Support permitting, bidding, and construction administration through project lifecycle.
• Contribute to mission-critical facilities, data centers, and large-scale tenant improvements.
