Job summary

Thomas Young Group seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer in San Francisco, CA to lead design of electrical power systems for sustainable buildings. You’ll collaborate with architects, MEPs and stakeholders to deliver code-compliant designs and construction documents.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
5–7 years’ experience in electrical engineering across local building systems.
Skilled in Revit and AutoCAD.
Knowledge of California Title-24 Part 6 Energy Code and local construction codes.
P.E. license required.
Excellent communication, organization, and project coordination skills.

Responsibilities

Lead design and development of electrical power distribution systems for sustainable buildings.
Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and project stakeholders to deliver integrated, code-compliant electrical designs.
Produce detailed construction documents and specifications.
Ensure compliance with all local and state codes, including Title 24, Part 6.
Support projects through all phases: permitting, bidding, and construction administration.
Work on DSA and HCAI projects, ensuring regulatory compliance.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical excellence and knowledge sharing.
