Job summary

Thomas Young Group in Los Angeles seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead power distribution design for high-performance buildings. You will collaborate with architects, M&E teams, and project groups to deliver integrated, code-compliant solutions.

Produce construction documents in AutoCAD and Revit, ensure Title 24 Part 6 compliance, and support permitting, bidding, and construction administration. Mentoring junior engineers and driving technical excellence are key parts of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5 to 7 years’ experience in electrical engineering, especially local building systems.
• Strong communication, organization, and project coordination skills.
• Proficient with Revit and AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of California Title 24 Part 6 and local codes.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).

Responsibilities

• Leading electrical power distribution design for high performance buildings.
• Collaborating with architects, mechanical engineers, and project teams for integrated, code compliant solutions.
• Producing detailed construction documents and specifications using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Ensuring compliance with local and state codes, including California Title 24, Part 6.
• Supporting projects through permitting, bidding, and construction administration.
• Mentoring junior engineers and promoting technical excellence.
