Job summary

HED is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Detroit team as a senior technical and design leader. You will own major portions of electrical project design for hyperscale, mission-critical systems, guiding technical execution and QAQC across disciplines.

In this role, you’ll mentor teams, coordinate with architectural, structural, mechanical, and civil partners, lead submittals and RFIs, and help define budgets, scope, and schedules to deliver reliable, code-compliant electrical

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• P.E. licensure required.
• 15+ years in the AEC industry preferred.
• Ability to lead an electrical team on large, complex projects.
• Experience with offshore delivery partners desirable.
• Understanding of project finances and client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and documentation of large-scale electrical systems from concept through construction.
• Apply advanced electrical calculations for system sizing and verification.
• Direct Revit model setup and coordination workflows.
• Standardize Revit workflows and develop modeling tools and templates.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, mechanical, and civil teams.
• Serve as technical lead in client and consultant meetings.
• Lead submittals, RFIs, and value engineering analyses.
• Conduct field visits and document progress with high-quality reports.
• Define electrical strategies aligned with budget, performance, and schedule.
