Job summary

HED is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead high-performance electrical design on hyperscale, mission-critical projects. The role requires autonomy in delivery, mentoring of cross-functional teams, and representation of the firm in client relationships.

The candidate will drive technical excellence, QAQC, and engineering strategy, influencing practice-wide standards and design innovation across complex projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent is required.
• P.E. licensure required.
• 15+ years in the AEC industry preferred.
• Ability to lead large-scale, complex mission-critical electrical projects.
• Experience with offshore delivery partners is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering design and documentation of large-scale electrical systems from concept through construction.
• Approve advanced electrical calculations for sizing and performance verification.
• Direct setup and refinement of Revit models for electrical scope and coordination.
• Standardize Revit workflows and lead development of modeling tools and templates.
• Collaborate with architectural, structural, mechanical, and civil design partners to resolve coordination issues.
• Serve as technical lead for electrical coordination with clients and internal teams.
• Lead submittal reviews, RFIs, and value engineering analyses for electrical scope.
• Conduct field visits and construction observation, delivering high-quality field reports.
