Job summary

HED is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team. This senior role drives technical execution, design leadership, and interdisciplinary coordination of complex electrical systems from concept through construction.

You will mentor junior engineers, lead QAQC efforts, and participate in project strategy and proposals, while collaborating across architectural, structural, and civil teams and with clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in electrical engineering.
• P.E. licensure required.
• 10+ years in the AEC industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and documentation of complex electrical systems with minimal oversight.
• Validate key calculations (service sizing, short circuit, voltage drop) and integrate results into design.
• Oversee setup of electrical Revit models, including views, sheets, and annotations.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, and civil teams to resolve system conflicts.
• Serve as the primary electrical technical contact across internal and external project teams.
• Review and approve electrical submittals, RFIs, and substitutions; coordinate responses.
