Job summary

LVI Associates is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer in Virginia to join its engineering team, focusing on medium-voltage power systems for data centers and mission-critical facilities.

The role leads project engineering efforts, coordinates with multidisciplinary teams, mentors junior staff, ensures NEC/IEEE compliance, and advances design of reliable electrical infrastructure for large-scale infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of electrical design experience for power systems.
• Experience with data centers or mission-critical facilities is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of NEC and IEEE standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and engineering of medium-voltage and low-voltage power systems.
• Perform power system studies including short-circuit, arc flash, coordination, and power quality.
• Develop distribution designs with switchgear, UPS, generators, and backup power.
• Coordinate with MEP teams and construction during project execution.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
