Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design for mining and heavy industrial projects, primarily near Phoenix, AZ. The role involves overseeing design through construction with a cross-disciplinary team and clients.

Candidate should have a PE license, 15 years in the field, and strong NEC knowledge. Hybrid work is offered with some travel to client sites and offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Professional Engineering license is required.
• Eligibility for a Professional Engineering license in AZ and Southwestern US states.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design and engineering portions from planning through post-construction.
• Lead coordination meetings with internal/external teams and clients.
• Develop project scope, budget, staffing and schedules.
• Prepare electrical construction drawings: SLDs, power/lighting plans, grounding, wiring diagrams.
• Model, study, and analyze power systems (load flow, short circuit, arc flash).
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
