Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. in Phoenix seeks a licensed Structural Engineer to join our Energy and Resources team, delivering design and analysis for heavy industrial projects across North America and globally.

The successful candidate will lead technical work, mentor team members, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑quality solutions. As a registered PE, you will design and analyze structures for mining and energy infrastructure, ensure compliance with codes,

Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with a focus on structural engineering.
A Master's degree in civil engineering with a focus on structural engineering is preferred.
Registered Professional Engineer in the Western United States with 10 to 20 years of experience in structural engineering with a focus on industrial infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Understand and apply Stantec Safety Culture and Health and Safety rules.
Perform structural design and analysis for heavy industrial/energy infrastructure projects.
Develop designs via sketches, hand calculations, and structural analysis software.
Collaborate with Engineers and Designers (CAD/BIM) to meet client needs.
Interface with other disciplines and project management to execute projects.
Provide coaching and mentoring to EITs and designers, supporting career development.
Conduct quality assurance and quality control on projects.
Prepare and coordinate project specifications and construction documents.
Attend project coordination meetings and travel to local sites as needed.
