Job summary

Stantec in Phoenix is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer focused on mining/heavy industry projects. You will lead electrical design across project phases, coordinate with teams, and contribute to bid and field support. The role requires PE licensure, 15 years of experience, and strong communication skills.

The office supports a hybrid work arrangement with relocation to project sites as needed; primary location is Arizona with travel ~10%.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
Professional Engineering license is required.
Eligibility for a Professional Engineering license in the State of Arizona and/or Southwestern US states.
15 years of engineering, design, and construction experience in heavy industry or mining.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Lead electrical design and engineering portions of projects from planning through post-construction.
Prepare design calculations, technical reports, and construction drawings (SLDs, power/lighting plans).
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, contractors, and vendors.
Manage project scope, budget, staffing, and schedule.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
