Job summary

KFI Engineers in Cincinnati seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer (level IV) to lead design and execution of electrical power distribution, MV/480V systems, and building power/lighting for industrial, utility, and campus projects. You will prepare specifications, review submittals, and guide startup and commissioning. Requires a B.S.

in Electrical Engineering, 10+ years’ experience, PE registration (or pursuit), and proven client relationship skills. Travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10+ years of Electrical Engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer registration or willingness to pursue.
• Demonstrated proficiency in electrical utility generation and distribution.
• Experience with Process, Instrumentation, and Controls.
• Knowledge of NEC/NFPA/NESC/IEEE codes.

Responsibilities

• Designs and supports power distribution systems (primary).
• Designs medium-voltage and 480V power systems for industrial and building apps.
• Reviews contractor and vendor submittals; selects equipment.
• Develops project plans, labor and cost estimates; manages scope.
• Coordinates with other departments and subcontractors.
• Provides startup, commissioning assistance and field support.
• May serve as project manager for complete projects.
