Job summary

KFI Engineers seeks an Electrical Engineer III to lead design efforts for manufacturing projects, ensuring clear communication and strong customer satisfaction. You will contribute to proposals, mentor teams, and collaborate across disciplines to deliver high-quality electrical solutions.

The role emphasizes building client relationships, applying electrical design expertise, and coordinating with multiple departments while traveling up to 25% domestically.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 8 years’ electrical engineering experience following graduation.
• PE certification or willingness to pursue this designation.
• Project experience and knowledge of Electrical design for building projects.
• Knowledge in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Strong electrical design expertise across industries and processes.
• Understanding of Electrical, Mechanical, Civil and Structural practices.
• In-depth knowledge of NEC, NFPA, NESC, ANSI/IEEE standards.
• Experience in infrastructure design for manufacturing facilities.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to influence stakeholders.
• Ability to build strong client relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Travel: up to 25% domestic travel.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design of power distribution systems and motor feeders.
• Support design of building power and lighting systems (ground fault, lightning protection, UPS, etc.).
• Prepare engineering documents and equipment specifications per scope.
• Perform voltage drop, short-circuit calculations and arc fault analysis.
• Coordinate work with other departments, project teams and contractors.
• Other duties as assigned.
